David Keller currently teaches at Piedmont High School in California. He has taught U.S. Government, History of the Constitution, and Civics for over two decades. He is a National Board Certified Teacher. Keller took over the writing and editing this text in 2021.

The bulk of this text was written by an attorney and educator in collaboration with his students at Piedmont High over the course of 5 years. It is truly a labor of love.
